Description for Sillimanite Refractory Bricks Sillimanite bricks are high-grade aluminosilicate refractory materials made primarily from sillimanite, andalusite, and kyanite through high-temperature calcination and molding. These minerals transform into mullite and silica glass phases at high temperatures. Because mullite is a highly refractory crystal, sillimanite bricks possess excellent high-temperature performance, high strength, and high stability. Sillimanite Refractory Bricks Advantages
1. High Refractoriness: Refractoriness typically exceeds 1790°C, enabling them to withstand extremely high operating temperatures.
2. Excellent High-Temperature Structural Strength: Due to the interwoven network of mullite crystals within the brick, its high-temperature flexural strength and refraction under load typically exceed 1650°C.
3. Excellent Thermal Shock Resistance: The mullite crystal structure has a low thermal expansion coefficient and isotropic properties, making it less susceptible to cracking and spalling during rapid temperature fluctuations.
4. High Volume Stability: Even with long-term use at high temperatures, the bricks exhibit minimal volume shrinkage, maintain structural stability, and are less likely to deform the kiln lining.
